A lovely week

I hosted a petite lunch for my mum and a friend of hers this week, and made this recipe here.

It was a warm Moroccan Chicken salad with homemade coriander slaw. And bubbles of course 🥂 Plus my mum made a gluten-free chocolate cake for afters ☕️

With my French music playlist and the sunny sky outside it was relaxing and fun, and different to my usual weekday lunch! (my playlist is on my iPod but I have started building it on Spotify, so check in here to see it's progress and/or play what I have loaded so far!)

I love hosting or visiting for lunch/dinner/afternoon tea etc at home. It is more peaceful and very budget-friendly compared with eating out.

The doggie girls love running in the paddock, and in a photo from this week Daphne is having a good fossick in the cows’ hay.

How beautiful is the winter sky? Most of the time cloud is high here because of the ranges out west. (We are on the east coast.) Clouds have to lift up to get over the hills so we get not a lot of rain most of the time, and a beautiful open sky. It feels so spacious when cloud isn’t down around your ears.

This sort of study fascinates me and I am always interested in weather, especially extreme weather, and I love the rain (as I may have mentioned before once or twice...)🤓

And finally, my brother sent me this picture comparing Chloe with a gremlin. I must admit there are similarities 🤣🤣

Wishing you a fab week, keep safe!  And cool or cozy, depending on where you are!

xx Fiona

    1. She is from the SPCA and they said she is a Brussels Griffon - the Petit Brabançon type, which I believe has pug in their family tree :) You can read more on Wiki, it's quite interesting! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Griffon_Bruxellois
