We had such a nice Mother’s Day lunch at my auntie and uncle’s today. There is something about a midday main meal that spells celebration.
I brought homemade potato gratin and it was yum, along with a traditional roast meal.
I feel fortunate to have a family who is close and has silly fun together, because I know there are some who don’t have that familiarity.
Even in lockdown when we couldn’t see each other, my sister, brother and mum would share texts in our four-way group text chat. There’s never much sensible talk, it’s all banter and rubbish 😁
Mum said she tried her hardest to make us normal, sensible people... sorry ma, we must have a rogue gene somewhere 😆
To all the mums, whether mothers to actual humans, or loving mums to their furry buddies - happy Mother’s Day.
xx Fiona

I enjoyed your blog and the pretty pink rose! I read several of your posts in a row today. It was a gift to look at all your cute pictures and learn from all your wise words. Thank you for your inspiration. You're a loving "mum" to all of us. I particularly needed to calm down a bit and you encouraged me (in such a delightful way) to take a chill pill! Thanks so much, Fiona!!
