Strangely enough, even with all the worry in the world, I've been sleeping quite well. I think because there is such a huge event going on that all the little things that normally niggle me at 3am seem so insignificant right now!
I always know intellectually that resting is good, but I very rarely do it. Instead, I'll eat something for energy. Yes, I know, it sounds so dumb written down :) But at the moment I am resting as a first response.
And the opposite of rest, while being the same (they both give you energy), is going for a walk. I've never seen so many people walking up and down our street. All the neighbours at one time or another. And I notice it the few times I've been out in the car as well - family groups and happy pets out walking. I think it's fantastic!
How about you? Are you able to rest more? Walk outdoors? Tell me how you are handling things.
xx Fiona

Hi Fiona
ReplyDeleteWe are in quarantine here due to our son returning from overseas. It has been quite an interesting exercise, ordering groceries online, using up items found in the pantry and freezer and spending a lot more time together under the one roof, which we haven’t done for nearly two years. We all like to have our own space and spend time in our own bedrooms, but we also like to eat together as a family, as we always have at the dinner table. We also don’t know what we would do without daily text messages and calls from family, and of course emails and Instagram keep us sane.
Hi Fiona,
ReplyDeleteI am liking this series....now that I am off work until ? I am luxuriating in the short afternoon nap. It feels decadent and preschoolish all at once!
I've been catching up on cleaning things I've tended to avoid (like cabinets, etc.) and also I'm finding that taking a nap is a wonderful way to relax. Just taking time to be instead of rushing to do things that I find now don't really matter. Catching up with friends and reading. Thank you for all the tips.
