Paperback 'Thirty More Chic Days' now available

Hello everyone,

The paperback ‘Thirty More Chic Days’ is now available, hoorah. You can order it here on Amazon.

I am so happy to hear from those of you who are already reading the Kindle version that you are enjoying it – it’s hard to know if it’s any good when you are the one writing it!  Whenever I start wondering how it’s going to be received I turn it back around to myself and say ‘just keep on making it as good as you can and write it for yourself’.  Then at least one person is happy :)  So that’s what I did, just kept on going, writing what I wanted to read, and refining it as much as possible in the final edits.

My biggest author tip is just that: write what you want to read, whether it’s a book or a blog post.  If you wish a book existed about *that*, write it.  I wished there were books about living a rose-scented, pink-tinted Parisian-style life exactly where I lived and without spending much money… so I wrote them.  It really is that simple!

Happy days everyone, I hope you enjoy the paperback!  You can find it here: https://amzn.to/2NmXuWg

  1. Congratulations, although hardcover is wonderful.
As for Parisian lifestyle, I used to lust for it, but now I prefer a less-stressful but still classy French life in a smaller city.

    1. I know, it would be nice, but unfortunately hard cover is not an available option for my book at this time.

For me, I love the thought, energy and inspiration of a big city, but I love, love, love living in the country. And I get to visit big cities if I want to. It's the best of both worlds!

    2. The book arrived yesterday, Fiona, and I'm really enjoying it, whether or not I wish to emulate a French girl or not! (Not, in my case, but a true Englishwoman, but again not one in wellies with a weather-beaten complexion, perish the thought right away!) I can see the appeal of a French miss, though - I did my best to appear not-English when I was in my teens, after a holiday in Germany and thought the 'continentals' so much more 'chic' than we English (I don't know the equivalent German word for 'chic' ... perhaps there isn't one! I even wore wooden mules which I bought in Germany, and clothes which weren't the frilly English kind ... in my head I was Juliet Prowse, as seen in the film GI Blues). I think we all have an inner other-person, don't we?

    3. We totally do, Margaret! That's what makes life fun, for me anyway. Seeing a character in a movie inspires me to make little changes and I feel good about it.

And, as you read on in the new book, you will see that the French girl is my thing, but I encourage you to find your own if you don't identify with her so much :)
