I think I have a crush on Kate Winslet. I saw photos like these in a magazine last week chronicling the story of her and her new boyfriend. I really, really like her new look.
She looks so youthful and stylish. I adore the clothes she is wearing too: very simple, relaxed and chic, and in the colours I love (non-colours really – black, denim, grey, navy). The magazine I read reported she had lost 4.5kg / 10 pounds. She looks slender and young, but not emaciated. In addition, her makeup is very natural, fresh and polished, and her hair is unfussy. She looks younger than she used to I think.
I admit, after seeing some photos like these for the first time last week I wore a black suit jacket over my jeans and grey knit top to go out in the weekend.
Is it weird to admit I looked up her details? I am happy to say she is a similar height to me and we are both Libra (never mind that she's five years younger). That must mean it's OK for me to copy her look.
Kate seems like a great lady.....I think she is grounded and has a fabulous sense of style...
ReplyDeleteI think she is one of the most naturally stunning actresses out there today. She looks beautiful, but normal, if that makes sense. And I have long admired her style. And I too love these looks, rock them all the time in fact. Polished but comfy chic.

ReplyDeleteI think she is so pretty! I like her understated style and the fact that she doesn't make a fool out of herself unlike a lot of celebrities. She's the total package.

ReplyDeleteStephanie, you're right, she's always been quite sensible. I was surprised she is only 35, as she's been around so long (and has always dressed quite 'maturely', in my opinion). She looks more her age now.

Kamani, that's true. She suits the casual look. I've often thought she looks uncomfortable 'upholstered' in an evening dress with structured hair and full makeup.
I'm afraid for her with the boyfriend though. I think he's in it for the profile. I'd love them to prove me wrong though.

Anon, I think her sunglasses add a touch of je ne sais quoi too. I really like her outfits because I am a more casual dresser. A good casual outfit is hard to find!
Great style icon for you .... she's a class act. One of my all-time favorite actresses. I love how choosy she is in picking her roles and just about love every movie she's been in.

She looks fabulous in anything and I love that she is not the emaciated Hollywood girl. Such a natural beauty!
